Texture and line- Gate Color

I took this photo in downtown Olympia on a dreary evening. I used flash fill, ISO640, WB Cloudy,F 6.7 , 1/6 shutter, aperture priority, 60 mm. This is the original of the previous photo which was changed to black & white in photo shop. I like this photo better because the rust shows age. It was a great experience seeing the difference between color and B & W

Texture and line

I took this photo and changed it to B & W to see if it created more or less drama. I believe there is more drama in the black and white, but I like the original because the all the rust on the bars shows age.

Flash and value

Out of all the boats in the marina, this one held the most interest for me. All the other boats were large and plain white. I really like the wood seats because it gives it color. It was very dreary and almost raining. Metadata, ISO640, cloudy wb, 1/60, f9, aperture priority, flash fill

Tractors Color & Contrast

I noticed the contrast of black and orange right away. My husband really wants one of these.

Color Contrast - Balloons

I tried to find some color in this bleak rainy day & here it is. I spotted the balloons on a red car for sale. I wish I had thought to use a flash for this photo. It may have helped.

Rhodie in the rain

I found more color with flowers this time. Even the rainy weather couldn't damped the color of his rhodie hidden in the trees. Nikon D100, Center Metering, 1/60, f5.6, Aperture 98mm auto wb, ISO 250

Red Poppy

This is the actual color of the poppy. It was raining at the time (when wasn't it this week?) and I was trying not to get the camera wet. Metadata is auto wb, 1/60 shutter, F8, aperture priority 62 mm, ISO250
